Description: This five-session course is an introduction to the practice of Mussar as we age. Mussar is a Jewish toolbox for refining one’s character using ethical principles and mindfulness practices. In this course we will explore four middot (Jewish values): patience, equanimity, gratitude, and generosity and how we can apply these middot to our lives as we age or accompany aging relatives on their journey. Students will be paired in chevrutah for study outside of the class.
